1942-1943 Philadelphia Stars Negro National league cap and pin (lot) 1 of 1 rare. This cap was worn by a negro leaguer from the Philadelphia Stars back in 1942 .. the pin came along with this as it shows the color match and time frame when players were dealing with segregation. Players like Jackie Robinson and Satchel Page finally broke through into the Major Leagues around 1947-1948. Can you imagine what the player wearing this had to go through to make ends meat in a time when ball players and clubs weren't millionaires but mere poor under class citizens just trying to survive the hardships many of us now can relate to.
