Alice in Wonderland Vintage Hand-Painted Cheshire Cat Hair Barrettes Clips

“We’re All Mad Here”… come down the rabbit hole and show your appreciation for one of the most prolific books turned Disney movie classic, Alice in Wonderland’s Cheshire Cat. Born in Darnsbury, Cheshire, England, Carroll uses the Cheshire Cat to represents the schizophrenic madness one can experience, flittering in and out of Alice’s journeys, but eventually being the only one to lead her out of the mad, mad world. These Disneyana collectibles were purchased in DisneyWorld, Florida, each charm hand dipped to create exquisite depth and dimension, with the details carefully and lovingly hand painted by one of Disney’s amazing artistes! The Cheshire Cat is affixed to the barrette using both a single screw and artist glue. One Cheshire Cat has two bubbles (pictured) which naturally occurred during the process. These have never been worn and were kept in a keepsake shadow box.
