This listing is for a gorgeous, skillfully executed studio pottery vase. The form is wheel-thrown very confidently, and while it is fairly heavy, it also is well balanced/even. The surface treatment is done in raku technique with white crackle glaze and contrasting exposed clay, blackened by smoke reduction. The vase is fairly large and measures about 7 x 9 in diameter. Nice condition, no chips or cracks. Signed (but I can't figure out the name) and dated to 1991.
