Robin Woods “Miss America” Doll 1986

This 18 all cloth doll is a completely handmade ( sewn) Miss America. She is tender and sweet and extremely Patriotic! This Americana doll is collectible. She was made by Robin Wood for the Margaret Strong Museum in 1986. She measures 18 long. She is jointed at appropriate areas but has no mobility. Her red, white and blue outfit is adorable. Over her white double bloomers is a lovely colonial design white shirt with high ruffled neckline. Her skirt is full length and 3 wide stripes of red. white and brilliant blue like the American flag she is holding. She has a ribbon across her chest which is a red, white and sky blue. The head dress has the same color stripes on the ribbon flowing from her silver spiked head band ( like the Statue of Liberty). She also has white cotton socks, does NOT have shoes.
