This is a genuine antique Chinese archer’s thumb ring dating to the Republic Era (1912–1949), carved from natural nephrite jade. The ring exhibits a beautiful mossy green color with a densely fibrous texture and moderate translucency under light. It weighs 28 grams and fits snugly on the pointer finger, indicating a tighter, more traditional fit consistent with archery use.
There is no UV fluorescence, and the stone tests in the nephrite range on a Presidium Gem Tester II, confirming its natural composition. The surface displays well-preserved workmanship, with soft inner and outer edges typical of the Republic period’s utilitarian but refined craftsmanship.
