Set of 6 Vintage L E Smith Bread & Butter Plates
Purple Wisteria (Amethyst) glass; made for a one year run in 1936
Limited depression era pattern known as Melba or Pebbled Rim. Pebbled Rim features an octagonal shape with a border of little raised bumps which look like pebbles on the back. They have significant utensil scratching throughout; and a faded three-band silver decoration around the flange (many of LE Smith's glass tableware pieces had this decoration)
Measure 7” - 7.5” in diameter
Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Utensil marks and wear to original silver trim
