A Japanese Shikishi Board is a specially prepared square paper affixed to a hard backing, edged with gold colored trim It is traditionally used for calligraphy, watercolor art and has been a popular item to get autographed in Japan for more than a century. The Dimensions of the board are 9.5 inches X 10.7 inches.
**This autograph is not certified.** The third party authentication companies stopped authenticating shikishi boards (with the exception of in person witnessed signings) about 3 years ago. I have no idea why they did this. I assure you the autograph is 100% Authentic.
