Vintage 1993 Dept 56 North Pole Series North Pole Express Depot #56278 Lighted Building ~ Retired 1998
The North Pole Village Collection was the sixth porcelain series released by Department 56 debuting in 1990. The collection features the make believe world of Santa's village including his workshop, toyshops, candy makers, elves and reindeer.
The North Pole Express Depot warmly welcomes Santa's guests, residents and deliveries with the yellow glow shining through the windows. There are holiday wreaths hung above the front windows and doors. The roof line is pagoda-like with an A-frame gable transversing a ridge. Flags fly at the peaks. Stone chimney rises at rear of roof. There are separate doors for passengers and freight.
Glitter mimics fresh fallen snow on the roof and steps.
Very Good Condition in original box sleeve. No chips or cracks. The packaging does show some storage wear and soiling
