A super rare variety of Peridot with needles of Ludwigite included within it from the Kashmir Mountains of Pakistan. To me this is one of the most beautiful green gemstones on Earth. The finest peridot in the world comes from a small island off the coast of Egypt. This Kashmir Peridot would be hard to tell apart. Back in the time of the Pharoah's they would mine by torchlight at night for peridot where they could be seen sparkling in the Earth. Nearly impossible to find in the day. They were valued more highly than gold and considered to be fallen pieces of the Sun.
