These pads were a labor of love. Mother became incontinent after a stroke. And I did not want to put her in diapers. She would most often sit bare bottom on these pads. That's why they were made with a very soft microfleece top.
Microfleece itself does not absorb water, so it stays dry to the touch. Water drains right through.
