Circa 1960s Italian ceramic vase in the San Marino style made by ‘Professor Melior,’ an accomplished ceramicist and pottery instructor. ‘Effetto Lacca’ (enamel effect) was incorporated in the hand-decoration of the piece and depicts a female face with flowers. Chip on top and rough spots on top rim of vase as shown used scratches throughout vase as pictured.
Striking piece, bold in color, yet delicate in theme and detail. Numbered 231.
Prof. Melior hand-painted the model number and signature, along with information on the piece to the underside, as shown. Approx. 6 inches x 2 inches
