This is a papier-mâché/composition carrot shaped bank. 7 long by 2.5 wide. It will be double boxed to protect your investment. Theres no opening on these banks just a slot for coins. This one appears in fantastic condition no cracks, missing paint, or chips. It even has the little fiber detail at the end of the carrot. 3.3 ounces prior to packaging.
These are folk art, hard to find papier-mâché / composition / clay banks.
I am listing several pieces of papier-mâché fruit / veggies- estate find. that I found at an estate auction. They all look like ornaments. With one end having a wire to hang them. Plus a slot for coins. You would put coins in, then have to break the bank to retrieve the money. Thats why theres not many of these surviving today. Probably 1930s.
