Adorable little hand-painted teacup and saucer, a souvenir from Alaska.
Painted on a Victoria C&E Bone China set from England.
White bone background with three sets of darling tan and blue moccasins painted around both the cup and the saucer, with little blue footprints in the snow painted between them. The outer edge is softly painted in a dusty blush pink and trimmed in gold. The saucer has “Alaska” painted at the center edge.
These are in wonderful vintage condition, no chips or cracks. There is some mild crazing in areas typical with age. I noticed a little bit of the pink paint was dabbed into the top rim of the cup in one spot, at first I thought it was lipstick, lol. Also, the gold handle paint must not have been completely dry when the artist handled it as there looks to be a fingerprint in the gold (a little less shiny and smooth in that spot).
A wonderful addition to any collection!
