Hand Crafted embroidery, mounted, framed and fronted with acrylic to protect the art. The Otomi of the area of Sierra Norte, Mexico have been creating their unique colorful traditional embroidery for many generations. . This piece highlights an animal and flower design. It is pre-owned in good condition. There may be a bit of scratching on the frame and acrylic but overall it looks very good. Measures about 13.5 inches square.

Otomi embroidery is the Mexican embroidery style known as Tenangos , which uses vibrant colors, and unique floral and animal designs. Each piece is hand embroidered on cream-colored muslin by Otomi artisans, and can take up to 12 months to complete. The designs are symbolic, representing the native flora and fauna of the Otomi region.
