The is an Embury No. 2 Air Pilot Kerosene Lantern. This model, introduced in 1939, was designed to be twice as bright as other lanterns of its time. The lantern is silver-colored with a clear glass globe and has AIR PILOT stamped on its base. It was produced approximately between 1939 and 1953. Made by Embury Manufacturing Company, located in Warsaw, NY. The company was later sold to the R.E. Dietz Manufacturing Company in 1953.
Design: The Air Pilot line replaced the Supreme model and featured more rounded sides compared to other lanterns. made of steel. Designed to burn kerosene. Marketed as being twice as bright as other lanterns.
