A beautiful vintage serving tray, this is made of iridescent glass in a marigold color and features a center distinctive loop handle . Carnival glass, first produced in the early 1900s, is made by spraying the glass with a metallic salt solution and then firing it in a kiln to produce an iridescent surface. The marigold color is one of the most commonly found colors in carnival glass.
The tray has a diameter of 10 and stands approximately 5 1/2 to the top of the handle. It is in overall very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or notable scratches. There are some slight minimal scuffs on the base from table wear that do not detract from its beauty. Please see pictures for overall condition.
A beautiful addition to any collection of antique glassware or as a unique serving piece for special occasions. Its small size makes it perfect for serving small appetizers, desserts, or drinks and the loop handle in the center makes it easy to carry and adds an elegant touch.
