Very unique art glass vase for BAG Czech Republic by Rony Plesl
B.A.G. Vsetin was formed in 1992 in the Czech Republic by the renowned Venetian glassblowers, Barovier and Toso, who had opened a glass works there to offset the rising cost of glassmaking in Italy. They recruited the best glassblowers from the region, and employed some of the most innovative designers, such as Rony Plesl and Jiri Suhajek.
This spectacular piece is signed Design R. Plesl
Opaque glass gourd shape vase is a beautiful light cerulean blue. The applied spikes are blood orange colored. It truly is a unique piece! I would say from the early 90's but there is no date roughly 6 inches wide and 8.5inches tall.
