Antique Art Nouveau 14K yellow gold enameled flower brooch from Whiteside and Blank circa 1905, (the company became Henry Blank & Co in 1917). The five petals are enameled with translucent layers of opalescent pink, green and soft yellow. Painted green veining gives a textural touch. The stem has a lovely curve with a looping tendril. Two small bluish pearls, one in the flower's center, the other just below, complete the piece.
Original C clasp and gold pin are fully functional. There is a small abrasion on the back most likely from metal testing, & a tiny spot of enamel loss (.5 x 1.5 mm) close to the center on one of the petals. It appears stable and is not noticeable without magnification or extremely close scrutiny.
♦Dimensions: 1 1/8 inches long (3 cm), 3/4 inch wide (1.7 cm). Pearls are approximately 3 mm. Total weight is 2.2 grams.
♦Markings: 14K, C with an arrow for Whiteside and Blank. A bit of trivia: Henry Blank was a Titanic survivor.
Signature required at delivery.
