2 Vintage Paramount Still Photos (8x10) George Raft, Carole Lombard (1934)

“Bolero” is a 1934 Paramount Pictures romantic dancing musical starring George Raft, Carole Lombard, William Frawley, Sally Rand & Ray Milland The film gave Raft the rare chance to play a dancer, which had been his profession in New York City, rather than portraying a gangster. The film was released before rigorous enforcement of the Hollywood Production Code came into effect on July 1, 1934. Several scenes would likely have been banned by the code, such as those in which Lombard’s character auditions in her underwear & a scene where Sally Rand performs her famous fan dance.

These two vintage 1934 “Bolero” movie still photo (8” x 10”) are in fine to very fine condition. Since these are original, 90 year old original vintage still photos, they are bound to have some slight imperfections, particularly around the edges as routinely found in vintage photographs. The images of some of 1930s Hollywood biggest stars, George Raft, Carole Lombard & famed burlesque fan dancer/stripper Sally Ra
