4 American Antelier Salad Plates, Athena Pattern, Ironstone, Vintage

Offered is a set of 4 salad plates in the Athena Pattern crafted by American Atelier. This vintage pattern version features a red cardinal on a sprig of pine needles and cones fashioned on off-white ironstone with a heavily embossed scalloped rim and glossy finish. This since discontinued pattern was produced from 2002 to 2008.

These 8.5” plates are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe, and in nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, stains, or crazing. There may be some very light utensil marks that can be seen when turned to the light just so, but even then, one would have difficulty finding them. One of the plates has some small scratches in the vicinity of the cardinal’s wing. (See last photo.)

IMO these lovely accent plates are appropriate for the contemporary table as they are both functional and decorative and would look especially nice during the holidays when combined with the undecorated version from the same pattern (5166). They would also display nicely.
