Rare Victorian-era adjustable collapsible dress form / hoop skirt crinoline stand, manufactured by Morss & Whyte and patented October 12, 1880. Features a cast iron tripod base and intricate steel wire cage construction with original measuring tape straps. ( Will be removed for shipping). Marked with manufacturer and patent date on the base.
Marked: MF'D BY MORSS & WHYTE and PAT OCT 12 1880
Adjustable wire cage with original textile measuring bands, (upper one is broken, I have pieces). Lower one says HALL'S BAZAR FORM Co. 833 Broadway which was a famous craftsmanship area.
Collapsible for storage or transport. One adjustment screw is replaced.
Approximate height of the pole 48", legs are 17" wide. Cast iron legs will be unattached for shipping.(Easy to attach).
