Truthfully, I am not sure if this was used to display and store pistols or some other equipment. It does have unusual dividers that I can see no other purpose for. Nobody knows but the builder.
It is a handmade wooden box with pinned joints. Beautifully made box with brass corner protectors, and an Art Deco / Neo classical embellishment on the lid. Hinges are solid with no play or shake for opening and closing.
Measures 12 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 3 3/4 on the outside.
