The APC BR1000MS is a Back-UPS Pro that keeps home offices, small studios, and network closets running when the power grid cannot. By providing 1000 volt-amp of capacity and 600 watt of continuous, pure sine wave output, it shields sensitive electronics from outages, surges, and the kind of voltage swings that silently shorten component life.

Ten NEMA 5-15R outlets make room for a full desktop setup. Six outlets draw from the internal battery during an outage, so a workstation, modem, router, and a few critical peripherals stay active long enough to finish a project or shut down safely. The remaining four outlets offer surge protection for gear that does not need battery support, such as printers or external speakers.

Built-in Automatic Voltage Regulation smooths out minor brownouts and overvoltage conditions without draining the battery. This feature is especially useful in older buildings or areas with unstable utility service, because it prevents unnecessary battery cycles and preserves runtime for true emergencies.

A front panel LCD tells you at a glance how much runtime is left, how heavily the unit is loaded, and what the incoming voltage looks like. USB Type A and Type C ports on the front can top up a phone or tablet without reaching for a wall charger, while RJ-45 and coaxial connections defend network and cable lines against spikes that ride in on data cables.

When it is time for maintenance, the lead-acid battery can be replaced by the user, extending the life of the UPS. APC includes PowerChute software for automated PC shutdown and energy-use tracking, and backs the unit with a lifetime equipment protection policy for extra peace of mind.
