Always have done regular thermal paste change intervals by the year including cleanings regularly.
The battery is close to death entirely. Wear level is at 40%+
Can get a new battery for $25 to $50.
The charger cord is frayed and has a part that seems like it will shock you haha needs some electrical tape but it still works fine. However if long term use for this laptop is intended it wouldn't be the worst thing to buy one as well!
This laptop has VT-D and all the virtualization technology. Could be a good ProxMox/XCP host or anything else really.
Should still handle games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty. All things will be high to low settings these days. It's an oldie, but a goodie!
