♥ Gorgeous, very rare and highly collectible mid century Cyvra brooch depicting a semi-nude whimsical fairy riding a swan. The brooch is made of sterling silver with abalone center. Secure roll-over pin in the back.
♥ Cyvra was a company founded by Vera Wood and her husband, Cyril Wood. They started making gold and silver jewelry in the 1950's using the lost wax process for their jewelry designs, hand carved by wax and cast. Their distinctive designs often featured whimsical elfs, fairies, and flora/fauna motif. Vera and Cyril Wood created jewelry for Oleg Cassini in the 1960's and also designed for William Ruser. Cyvra pieces are rare and highly sought .
