This striking set features vivid red Czech pressed glass beads with an Egyptian revival theme. The long necklace measures 30 inches with a 2 ½ inch pendant drop, and the earrings hang about 1 ½ inches on brass-tone leverbacks. The necklace alternates stacked “bubble" spacers, elongated teardrops, and rectangular cartouche-style beads filled with gold hieroglyph motifs. The drops catch the light beautifully, while the painted glyphs add character and age.
The glass beads are vintage Czech, but the necklace appears to have been assembled or restrung later, and the leverback earrings are more modern additions. Hardware shows patina, and there is some expected wear to the cold-painted glyphs, but overall condition is very good and highly wearable. A dramatic and unusual set that blends Egyptian flair with Czech glass artistry.
