An alphanumeric keypad sits on the front of the drive, letting you unlock your data with a personal PIN before the drive ever touches a computer. Because encryption happens on the device itself, your files stay protected whether you plug into a Windows laptop, a Mac workstation, a Linux server, or even an unfamiliar kiosk at a conference.

Data is safeguarded by XTS-AES 256-bit encryption and a design that targets FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification. The internal circuit board is sealed in epoxy to resist prying and tampering, and the drive will crypto-erase after ten incorrect Admin PIN entries, neutralizing brute-force attacks. For day-to-day use, you can assign separate Admin and User PINs. If a User forgets a PIN or locks the drive, the Admin can step in and restore access without wiping stored files.

Two optional Read-Only modes add an extra layer of protection when you need to share content or plug into a system you do not fully trust. In standard Read-Only mode, recipients can view files but cannot alter or delete them. In Global Read-Only mode, every session stays locked from the moment the Admin enables it, which helps prevent malware from sneaking onto the drive during repeated use in public environments.

The rechargeable battery powers the keypad, so you can enter your PIN before connection and keep the drive completely platform-independent. Once unlocked, the USB-C interface delivers transfer speeds up to 145 MB/s for reading and 115 MB/s for writing, quick enough for large presentations, high-resolution images, or sensitive reports that need to move between offices in a hurry.
