American Artist Karen Howell Signed "Legend of the Rabbit Moon" Pottery Vase. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. Base is signed, "Karen Howell 87 c 93".
Measures approx. 4" opening dia x 4" base dia x 6-3/4" tall.

Karen Howell is a well known American ceramic artist who has worked in clay for over 40 years. She graduated from IUP with a degree in Art Education. While teaching in public schools in the 1970's, Karen went on to earn an MEA in ceramics from IUP. Upon being laid off in a cutback in her school district, Karen set up and opened a studio in Trafford, Pa, has been an independent ceramic artist since then. While proficient in throwing porcelain, since 2005 Karen has evolved into a tile and mosaic artist. Karen closed her business in 2011, and is currently only working on projects of choice these days. What you have here is a piece of her earlier work, nearly 30 years old, rare and very well preserved.
