THESE ARE THE WRAP AROUND KNEE PADS - THEY ARE MORE COMFORTABLE S THEY HAVE A COMFORT PADDING FOR THE BACK OF THE LEG - ISSUED DURING THE 2002-2003 DEPLOYMENTS - THEN THEY WENT TO THE SLIP ONS AS THESE KNEE PADS WERE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ISSUE- THEY SWITCHED OVER TO THE STANDARD UNCOMFORTABLE HOOK ON KNEE PADS WHICH WERE OK BUT THESE WERE BETTER FOR COMFORT.
