"A sacred history of the higher and lower heaven of the earth for the past twenty-four thousand years. In the early 1880s, John Ballou Newbrough, an American dentist, found himself compelled to write a sacred text. Forces beyond his understanding took control of him, and through automatic writing, he composed a "new Bible." The 900-page plus book -- with mystical hieroglyphics and other illustrations -- was the Oahspe. It expanded on Christian thought and included wisdom from non-Western religions. This is the bulky, unabridged, original 1882 edition in facsimile known as the "Green" version. It has none of the later editorial revisions. It is enhanced by an index created by the publisher in the 20th century. Ray Palmer Green edition, with Oahspe Index."
