This is a basket that was handmade a very long time ago judging by the workmanship. It stands 36" tall and is in astounding condition considering its age. There are very few nails used in this construction and the wheels are wooden. The basket measures a generous 15.5" in diameter across the top and graduates downward to 9.25". This would have perhaps been used for harvesting...or transporting to market..but let your imagination think about how this would have been used.
The only damage to this is in the handle and there is a crack in the top layer of the handle. But can you imagine what it took to curve the handle like that in the first place?

This cannot come apart so will be packaged in a large box..very carefully. It has survived this long..it deserves to survive longer.
