It is a Second State Printing with the dedication page inserted as a separate leaf of paper that was added, or "tipped in," to the book (in the Third State Printing, the dedication page is part of the book block). Misspelling of 'Seymore' on page 173. The book is slightly cocked but tight with solid hinges, good tips, and dark blue cloth boards. The textblock has previous owner's name and date on front endpaper, else clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. Couple foxing spots to top fore-edges. The dust jacket is unclipped ($4.00) with light wear to extremities (see photos). Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 248 pages. 5½ x 8¼".
