Up for sale is a Rare Stunning Complete Set of Vintage Hong Kong Lacquered Wood Coffee / Tea Set 22 Pcs. They are signed on the bottoms "YAN KEE LACQUERWARE MADE IN HONG KONG". This set includes 1 coffee / tea pot with lid, 1 sugar bowl with lid, 1 creamer, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 spoons and 1 tweezer. They are extremely thin and light. The outsides are painted black with silver bird and floral scenes, the insides are painted golden. Looks shinny under light!
The coffee/ tea pot measures 7" tall. The soda can in the 3rd picture is for size comparison purpose.
This set was manufactured in the early to mid 20th century. Overall in great vintage condition with age appropriate wears. Some minor loss of the silver paint is expected due to the age. No chip or broken piece. This set will certainly become a conversational piece in your cabinet!
