Vintage & very rare German AO movie poster (34” x 47”) for 1965 re-release of “To Catch A Thief”, director Alfred Hitchcock’s most stylish, romantic & thrilling cinema masterpiece. This Paramount Pictures suspenseful & romantic thriller starred Cary Grant as ex-jewel thief/cat burglar wooing worldly & glamorous Grace Kelly on French Riviera. The costumes were by Edith Head, including Kelly’s memorable & iconic gold lamé gown for film’s costume ball. Film won Oscar Award for Best Cinematography and was nominated for Best Costume Design & Best Art Direction.
Vintage German AO poster (34 inches by 47 inches) is in very fine condition & linen-backed to protect artwork. The poster shows fold wear & minor paper loss along bottom border. The linen was trimmed to the border. This poster will be rolled when it is sent. This stylish & sophisticated poster displays very well & the detailed artistic images of the main movie stars, Grace Kelly and Cary Grant, are exquisite & stunningly gorgeous!
