The Shure MXA310B is a tabletop microphone that connects through the network and is designed for conference environments where clear, intelligible speech is critical. It uses four independent coverage zones that can be aimed in 15-degree increments, so a room designer can focus pickup on each participant while keeping distracting sounds outside the pattern. A toroid setting is also available when you want the microphone to concentrate on voices around the table and reduce overhead noise from HVAC vents or ceiling projectors.

Audio travels over a single Ethernet cable that carries Dante or AES67 signals along with control data and Power over Ethernet. This approach keeps cable runs simple, speeds up installation, and lets IT staff place the microphone exactly where it works best without worrying about power outlets.

A built-in processor provides automatic mixing, a four-band parametric equalizer, and adjustable gain, so most rooms will need little or no external DSP. For day-to-day use, participants can tap the capacitive mute switch, and the multicolor LED ring gives an immediate visual cue that the mic is live or muted.

System administrators can reach the microphone through a browser, create presets for different room layouts, and tie the controls into third-party platforms such as Crestron or Q-Sys. Once integrated, the MXA310B blends into boardrooms, huddle spaces, training rooms, and hybrid meeting areas where consistent audio quality helps remote and in-room participants collaborate naturally.

Highlights:

  • Four steerable coverage zones that move in 15-degree steps
  • Toroid pattern that focuses on table-level speech and minimizes ceiling noise
  • Dante and AES67 audio, control, and PoE on one Ethernet cable
  • Internal DSP with automatic mixing and a four-band parametric equalizer
  • Capacitive touch mute switch with a programmable multicolor LED ring
  • Browser-based control, preset storage, and compatibility with third-party systems
