The album features collaborations with notable gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Tramaine Hawkins, and Crystal Lewis. It was a breakthrough release for the group, debuting at number one on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and eventually selling over one million copies worldwide.
The group's lineup at the time of this album's release consisted of Chanelle Haynes, Angel Taylor, and Adrian Anderson. Anderson replaced original member Terri Brown, who left in 1999.
