This was crafted by Weyhing Bros. of Detroit. The NFBPWC- or just BPW as it is usually called - was actually founded in 1919, and stood directly behind women's suffrage and the advancement of female opportunity. By 1951 there were nine women in Congress, and all were of the NFBPWC; later, it was a driving force behind passage of the Equal Pay Act during the Kennedy administration. The pin shows a conjoined "WB" for Weyhing Bros., the first contracted maker of these insignia; there is also a "14K" mark for gold fineness.
This item is perfect for collectors of historical memorabilia, especially those interested in fraternal organizations. It is a great addition to any collection and a wonderful way to show support for the NFBPWC. Get this pin and proudly display your membership in the organization.
