Truly unique & exceedingly rare estate find
Pearlware technique on the body of the ewer. Pearlware was a type of early English pottery developed in the mid-18th century. It was characterized by its white, translucent body and its decorative use of small, raised dots or "pearls" on the surface. The dots were created by pressing small pieces of clay onto the wet surface of the vase before firing. This technique gave the pottery a unique, textured appearance and a slightly pearlescent sheen
