This edition has some really nice illustrations in in. The outside of the pages are colored green with Elvish on it. This is a book that was made to last. Inside dustjacket flap has price listed as $75.
This edition was published in 2022 by The Tolkien Estate Limited. The text was first published in Great Britian by George Allen & Unwin (1977).
The book is in really good shape. The dust jacket has some shelf wear (some rubbing on the top of the back cover). There's some small separation on the spine edge of the title page. This would make a great addtion to the library of a Tolkien fan. Whether its The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Simarillion, the animated films, the Peter Jackson movies, or whatever...this is a book that can last a lifetime.
