This is a kimono called Uchikake which Japanese women wear for wedding ceremonies.
It is said that the women wear the white uchikake for the reason of 'they can dyed in any color' and the red uchikake 'represents blood of the bride's family'.
This uchikake is made in Japan around the Showa era.
The Showa era is between 1926 and 1989. This is made with silk and made by hand.
The design is with the chrysanthemums and the cranes. Both are symbols of Japan.
