The Tripp Lite N484-01U is a 1U enclosure that organizes up to four high density copper or fiber cassettes in a standard 19 inch rack. It gives network managers a straightforward way to combine multiple media types in one chassis while using only a single rack unit.

This modular frame accepts LC or MTP fiber cassettes, SFP Plus modules, and RJ45 copper options, so it can link 10 Gb, 40 Gb, and even 100 or 120 Gb equipment without requiring a separate patch panel for each speed. Because the cassettes snap into place, you can mix fiber and copper in the same enclosure or swap them later as needs change.

When paired with the Tripp Lite N484-12SFP-K cassette, the enclosure becomes a 12 port passive SFP Plus hub that distributes redundant links across multiple 40 Gb devices. The solution works without active electronics, so it adds no heat to the rack and requires no additional cooling.
