Very rare antique variant (SEE NOTE) of this Royal And Military Order Of St. Hermenegildo, Commander's Star (No Crown) This authentic antique medal is nicely toned and in excellent condition, the enamel is completely intact without any damage, the reverse side has both teeth/hooks intact, hinge and catch all original, it measures 2.5" x 2.5" This would be a great addition to any military collection.
NOTE: The horse and Saint Hermenegildo on the Shield are facing left. A great rarity. This is because at the time of Alfonso XII and Isabel II, in Paris, they were manufactured in this way for the Spanish troops.
