I just love this cat's cute little face, mid paw lick. In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Just lovely!
If google translate can be believed, this is what the markings on the bottom of the piece mean: The characters in the seal mark translate to "Qianlong Nian Zhi" (乾隆年製), which means "Made in the Qianlong Reign". This mark indicates that the piece was produced during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795) of the Qing Dynasty, or is a later piece bearing an apocryphal mark from that period.
That being said, I do not believe this is a priceless piece from the 1700s :D. It's almost certainly a reproduction from the 1980s when sculptures such as this made a comeback. Remember when everyone went through an "Oriental decor" phase back then? Still a gorgeous and remarkable vintage piece that would make an excellent gift to a feline lover in your life.
