Hand-carved vintage Chinese business card case made from ivory. Dates from the latter half of the 19th Century, and includes an intricate Chinese carved pastoral scene on both the obverse and reverse panels. The lid fits snugly, and yet can be removed without resorting to a struggle. Not tested with modern-day business cards, since the dimensions of my modern cards exceed those of this case. Rich, creamy ivory tones throughout.
