Vintage stunning 925 sterling silver SIAM enamel 3D peacock pin brooch

This is an absolutely stunning peacock solid sterling silver articulating pin brooch. While representing different meanings to different cultures, the peacock, with its unique beauty, makes it a handy symbol for power, strength, confidence, and even divinity, something with which most monarchs throughout history have wanted to be associated. The brooch is vibrant and the colors really pop with an enamel coating of blues, greens, and reds. Stamped "SIAM STERLING BH." This piece hails from Siam - former day Thailand - in the 1940's and represents a typical and collectible piece of souvenir jewelry from the time. The feathers articulate from the bottom through a finely crafted hinge. Warm beautiful patina. Some of the enamel is rubbing off, but it still looks good.
