Rare Vintage Tailwaggers Club Dog Tag Own this amazing piece of history Great condition The Tailwaggers Club was founded in 1928 by Captain Horace Hobbs. Dogs that became members received a special collar tag engraved with the club’s logo and the family’s name and address on the reverse. The example we have at the museum belonged to a dog from Stirling, Scotland. Within the first couple of years of forming, the club had over 200,000 canine members and over £20,000 had been donated to the work of the Royal Veterinary College hence the phrase “I help my pals”. During the 1930s, the Tailwaggers Club helped fund the newly formed Guide Dogs for the Blind association and the society remained popular until the outbreak of the Second World War.
