It's an Aer-Void Food Container Numbered "402", it keeps contents Hot or Cold. It has a Non Toxic Inner Shell Type "BBP" with Serial number ". It's Vacuumized and Sealed under Processes used Exclusively by the Vacuum Can Co., in Chicago, ILL. It is clearly marked U.S.N. on the front and on handle and on the Handle of the Lid. It also has 4 wing nuts on the top to seal it nice and tight. I was used on US submarine
