VTG Stunning Czech Tango Art Glass Hex Trumpet Vase Orange & Black roping at the top of the vase. 7" Mint.
Tango glass is a technique originally created by Loetz in the 1930's.
Tango glass usually consists of a blown glass vase, bowl or other object, in a bright colour such as orange, yellow or red, with applied glass decoration in another darker colour such as black or blue or sometimes white. The applied decoration is usually in the form of an outline to the rim, and/or handles, twists and lobes.
A Czech tango glass jug with an orange body and black (dark blue hue when light shined on roping) wrapped around the top section produced during the Art Deco period. Polished out pontil mark, c1930.
