Pair of Genuine MC but very rare and very unusual - 6" Diameter
I don't know what the intended function would be, but they are metal and very heavy for the size. They don't react to a magnet. The floral-like scalloped edges come to a very sharp point.
Difficult to photograph these as they look black in the photos, but in my opinion they are a very very dark green. The green is more apparent in the etching. Perhaps they were meant to hold pillar candles or simply used as a saucer.
I was told they are part of the sweetbriar 1990 collection.
