This is a new Qualia TLW 20 reel that was used as a display sample at several boat shows. The reel is very popular with both fresh water and salt water captains for salmon, pan fish, snapper, sea bass, perch, and others. The most popular setup is 200 yards of 30 lb monofilament line on the reel.
The body of the reel is made of machined graphite along with the end bells. The spool is machined aluminum, and the gears, shafts and hardware and are all stainless steel. The bearings are stainless steel and are Tenex treated for corrosion as well.
The gear ratio is 4.2:1 for a powerful return with the fish on. The factory rating for the reel is 18 lb of drag using 330 yards of 14 lb mono line. The reel only requires a wash down of fresh water to give you years of great service. The reel weighs 18 ounces.
The reel has never been used for fishing and has never been in the water only used for display.
